Illinois Wesleyan to Offer Webcasts of Campus Events

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — To help friends near and far take part in the richness of campus life, Illinois Wesleyan University is developing a new online feature that will offer live and on-demand streaming video of an array of campus programs, ranging from faculty colloquiums and student performances to athletic events and convocations. Families, alumni and other online visitors will be able to tune in to a variety of campus events from their personal computers with a broadband connection.

The Webcasts will begin Saturday, Jan. 6, with Illinois Wesleyan men's and women's basketball games against Carthage College.  Other planned Webcasts in January include an International Studies Colloquium on the 11th, the community Gospel Festival on the 15th, the annual Jazz Festival Concert on the 20th, the 10th anniversary celebration of the men's NCAA Division III Basketball Championship from the Shirk Center on January 21, and an Economics Faculty Colloquium on the 26th. 

A schedule of events throughout the semester is being developed.  The events will be broadcast online at  where a tentative schedule also is listed.
