Estonian Choir to Perform at IWU

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -  Hailing from Tallinn, Estonia, the Heinavanker Choir will perform a concert on Sunday, Oct. 1, at 3:00 p.m. at Illinois Wesleyan University's Evelyn Chapel, 1301 N. Park St., in Bloomington.

The event is free and open to the public.

The Heinavanker ensemble specializes in early music, including pre-Christian runic song, Gregorian chant, Baltic folk music, and selections from the Renaissance period. The group has performed in Finland, France, Germany, Poland, Scandinavia, the United States and Switzerland, and has participated in festivals in Russia, Denmark and Sweden, among others.
