Performance Set for IWU Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Winds

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University's Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Winds will perform on Friday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Westbrook Auditorium located in Presser Hall, 1210 Park St., in Bloomington.  The concert is free and open to the public.

Steven Eggleston, professor of music and trumpet, will conduct the Wind Ensemble in their performance of Selections from the Danserye by Pavane Tielman Susato, First Suite in E Flat by Gustav Holst, Fantasies on a Theme by Haydn by Norman Dello Joio, and Festive Overture by Dimitri Shostakovich.

The Symphonic Winds, directed by Roger Garrett, professor of clarinet and conducting, is scheduled to perform The Bandwagon and Spirit of the Sequoia by Philip Sparke, William Byrd Suite by Gordon Jacob, and Slava! by Leonard Bernstein.
