IWU Professors Part of "Fertile Ground"

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - David Vayo, professor of composition and theory, and Bob Mangialardi, adjunct instructor in music, will take part in an informal performance of "Fertile Ground," a musical composed by Vayo, on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. at the McLean County Arts Center, 601 N. East St., in Bloomington.

A portion of "Fertile Ground" will be informally performed, and librettist Nancy Steele Brokaw, class of '71, and Vayo will speak about their collaboration for the project. Mangialardi, who is also the Prairie Fire Theatre's Artistic Director, helped to get the project started and will be the master of ceremonies for the night.

The program is in conjunction with McLean County Arts Center's current exhibition of IWU Professor of Theatre Arts/Scene Design Curtis Trout's stage design work.
