IWU School of Music to Host Faculty Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University's School of Music will present a faculty chamber music concert on Sunday, Feb. 5, in Presser Hall's Westbrook Auditorium (1210 Park St., Bloomington).

The recital, which begins at 3 p.m., is free and open to the public and will feature the following faculty members: Lisa Nelson, adjunct instructor in music, on violin; Michael Hall, visiting assistant professor of music, on viola; Nina Gordon, associate professor of cello and chamber music, on cello; and R. Kent Cook, associate professor of piano, on piano.

Showcasing the music of three major composers, the program will include the "Allegro" movement of Mozart's Duo in G Major for Violin and Viola, K. 423; Debussy's Sonate for Cello and Piano and all four movements of Brahms' Piano Quartet in G Minor, Op. 25.
