IWU Titan Film Series to Present Elizabethtown

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University will present the film Elizabethtown as a part of its Titan Film Series in the Hansen Student Center (300 Beecher St., Bloomington) on Friday, Jan. 20, at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Sponsored by the IWU Office of Student Activities, the event is free and open to the public.

Directed by Cameron Crowe, who also directed Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous and Vanilla Sky, Elizabethtown stars Orlando Bloom, Kirsten Dunst, Susan Sarandon, Jessica Biel and Alec Baldwin.

Bloom plays Drew Baylor, who must travel to his hometown of Elizabethtown, Ky., after the unexpected death of his father.  Nearly suicidal after losing his job and his girlfriend (Biel) at the same time, Drew finds a new romance and a new outlook on life with Claire Colburn (Dunst), a flight attendant he meets en route.  Sarandon portrays Drew's mother, Hollie, and Baldwin is featured as his unforgiving boss.
