IWU A Capella Group to Perform at Local Celebration

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan University's student-led a capella group, Suspended, will perform as an opening act to comedian David Brenner at Snyder Corporation's celebration for 100 years of service and the grand opening of the DoubleTree Hotel.  The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wedn esday, Sept. 27 at the DoubleTree Hotel (10 Brickyard Dr., Bloomington).

The black tie optional event is $125 per person or $2500 for a corporate table, which includes preferential seating and an invitation to a VIP reception following the event.  All proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The all-male a capella group consists of approximately 12 members of different backgrounds and majors.  Suspended mixes comedy with popular music and performs several concerts throughout the year including at community functions, Delta Omicron Jazz Night, with IWU female a capella ensemble Touch of Class, or at relaxed performances on the IWU quadrangle or McPherson Beach.
