BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- A new Illinois Wesleyan University student organization, the Madrigal Group, will host their first Madrigal Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m. in the Main Lounge of Memorial Center, 104 University St., in Bloomington.
The goal of the event is to bring Renaissance culture to life through music, drama and cuisine. The meal options include filet mignon served with truffle, dauphinoise potato and asparagus, crab-stuffed chicken on a bed of blended fettuccini and asparagus, or wild mushroom neopolitan, the vegetarian option. All dinners will be served with rolls, salad, wassail, coffee, tea and a chocolate dessert.
Tickets for the dinner are $5 for IWU students on a meal plan, $10 for students without a meal plan and $35 for the general public. Tickets must be paid for at the door by either cash or check, however they can be purchased in advance.
