Chicago Band, The Hush Sound, to Perform at Hansen Student Center

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The IWU Student Senate Entertainment Commission will present pop rock band The Hush Sound with Murder By Death and opening acts This Providence and This is Me Smiling on Friday, Nov. 3, in the Hansen Student Center, 300 Beecher St., in Bloomington. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m.
The Chicago-based band has released two full-length albums which includes their debut album So Sudden, which was released independently in the spring of 2005, only three months after the band formed. Like Vines, the band's second album, was produced by Sean O'Keefe and co-produced by Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump and was released in June 2006.
Recently, the Hush Sound has opened for Fall Out Boy and The All-American Rejects during their spring arena tour and for The Academy Is... and Fall Out Boy in the UK. During the summer of 2006, they joined labelmates Panic! At The Disco on a full U.S. summer tour.
Tickets are free for IWU students and can be obtained before and after meals at the steps of the Berthoff Commons, 104 University St., in Bloomington. Tickets for the general public can be purchased through TicketMaster for $10.
