Chapel Hour to Host Service of Classical Music

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan's University Chapel Hour will host a service of classical music, coordinated by Susan Brandon, associate professor of piano, on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. in Evelyn Chapel (1301 Park St., Bloomington).   The event is free and open to the public.

Brandon will be joined by IWU's Flute Choir, directed by Jae Lyn Hepner, adjunct instructor in music, as well as the University Chapel Choir, directed by Sheryl Bragg, a junior education major from Batavia, Ill.  Organist Susan Klotzbach will perform, along with soprano vocalists Ingrid Blomquist, a junior vocal performance major from St. Charles, Ill., and Elizabeth Ducey Moss, adjunct instructor in music. Violinist Vadim Mazo, associate professor of music, and faculty accompanists Maxie Scifres, Ririko Hayashi and Eva Ferguson are included in the program.

Also performing will be Nina Gordon, associate professor of cello and chamber music, and Lisa Nelson, adjunct instructor in music, along with pianists Todd Tucker, associate professor of music; Erin Mulliken, adjunct instructor in music-prep; and Athena Kulb, a fifth grade student from Tri-Valley Middle School.
