IWU Chapel to Present Annual Multi-Faith Service of Welcome
August 18, 2006
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University's first weekly Chapel Hour of the 2006-07 academic school year, a multi-faith service of welcome, will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30, in the Evelyn Chapel, 1301 Park St., in Bloomington. The University Chaplain's Office and the Evelyn Chapel Advisory Board will sponsor the service.
Representatives from a variety of registered campus religious organizations will welcome students, faculty and staff back to campus by sharing readings, songs and prayers.
Following the service, a member of each group will present his or her organization to the audience. Students in attendance will then have the opportunity to meet organization leaders and sign up to receive information about religious organizations that interest them.
