University Chapel to Honor All Saint's Day

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Constance DeYoung Groh, assistant university chaplain at Illinois
Wesleyan University, will speak at the weekly University Chapel hour honoring All
Saint's Day on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. in the Evelyn Chapel (1310 Park St., Bloomington).
Sponsored by the University Chaplain's Office and the Evelyn Chapel Advisory Board,
the chapel hour is open to the public.
The service will feature traditional liturgy and hymns, including a rendition of Jeanne
Weaver Fuller's Exsultate, Justi by the University Choir. Scott Ferguson, associate professor of music and director
of choral activities, will conduct. Groh's sermon, "For All the Saints," will explore
the historical roots of All Saint's Day and its legacy today.
In addition to being assistant chaplain at IWU, Groh is an instructional assistant
professor in the Department of History at Illinois State University and a member of
the adjunct faculty in the Humanities and Fine Arts Division of Heartland Community
College. She is also a licensed attorney practicing in the area of energy law. Groh
holds degrees from Michigan State University, the University of Michigan School of
Law, Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and Northwestern University.
