February 8, 2005

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - SONiA Rutstein and disappear fear, the band she has fronted in many incarnations, will return to perform on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. in the Memorial Center's Main Lounge (104 E. University St., Bloomington).

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for the event, which is free and open to the public.

The band is composed of Laura Ceruli on percussion and vocals and Angela Edge on bass and trumpet along with SONiA on vocals, lead guitar and piano.  Critics say the group's performances are filled with exuberance and passion.  Sonia plays both electric and acoustic guitar, a "dylanesque" harmonica and has a big voice that rocks the house.

The band's performance at the Blue Moon is part of a nation-wide tour that includes concerts, coffeehouse and bookstore performances as well as radio and television interviews.
