IWU Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Winds to Perform

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Winds will perform Thursday, Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. at the Westbrook Auditorium in Presser Hall (1210 Park St., Bloomington). The concert is free and open to the public, and directed by Steven Eggleston, professor of music at the Illinois Wesleyan School of Music.

The program for the IWU Symphonic Winds includes Sinfonia Nobilissima by Robert Jager, Elegy for a Young American by Ronald Lo Presti, Sea Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Suite No. 1 in E Flat for Military Band by Gustav Holst and Flying the Breeze by Philip Sparke.  The Wind Ensemble will perform El Salon Mexico by Aaron Copland, Tempered Steel by Charles Young, Postcard by Frank Ticheli and Canzona by Peter Mennin.
