IWU Swim Coach Named to Kenyon Athletic Hall of Fame
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University swimming and diving coach Teresa
Fish has been elected, along with her entire 1986-87 team, to the Kenyon College Athletic
Association Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony took place as part of Kenyon's Homecoming weekend on Sept.
17 in Gambier, Ohio. The 1987 women's swim team at Kenyon won the national Division
III championship, taking 15 of 18 events, including all five relay events.
A native of Darien, Ill., and a graduate of Hinsdale South High School, Fish earned
a bachelor's degree in chemistry in 1988 at Kenyon, where from 1985-88 she won 14
NCAA Division III swimming titles and earned 27 swimming All-American honors.
Fish joined the IWU coaching staff in 1995 and led the men's swimming team to its
first-ever College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championship in 1996.
