Crash Crash to be Shown at IWU

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. –Illinois Wesleyan University’s Office of Student Activities will bring the movie Crash to campus on Saturday, September 3 at 10 p.m. and on Sunday, September 4 at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the Hansen Student Center (300 Beecher St., Bloomington). 

The event is free and open to the public.

Crash, released in 2005 by Lions Gate Entertainment, whose tagline reads, “You think you know who you are?  You have no idea,” has been nominated for a Golden Trailer Award and for a Teen Choice Award. After a seemingly simple car crash in Los Angeles, the stories of several distinct personalities interweave as they struggle with their own fears and innate prejudices.  This urban drama explores issues of racial profiling and discrimination and focuses on tolerance and the interconnectedness of life in a contemporary diverse society.
