BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Following is a schedule of concerts to be performed as part of Illinois Wesleyan's Chamber Music Camp and Festival June 21-July 2. All performances will take place in the Westbrook Auditorium in Presser Hall (1210 Park St., Bloomington) and are free and open to the public.
Friday, June 24, 7:30 p.m. - Student Concert #1
Sunday, June 26, 3 p.m. - Student Concert #2
Wednesday, June 29, 7:30 p.m. - Student Concert #3
Saturday, July 2, 3 p.m. - Final Student Concert
Tuesday, June 21, 7:30 p.m. - Faculty concert #1, including music by Brahms, Poulenc and Clarke, and featuring faculty of the Illinois Wesleyan, Western Illinois and Southern Illinois Universities' Schools of Music, as well as members of the Illinois and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestras.
Saturday, June 25, 7:30 p.m. - Faculty Concert #2, featuring music by Schubert, Bruch and Grieg performed by members of the Chicago Lyric Opera, Illinois Symphony, Opera Illinois and faculty of Illinois Wesleyan, Western Illinois and Southern Illinois Universities.
Friday, July 1, 7:30 p.m. - Faculty Concert #3, featuring music of Franck, Ravel and Brahms performed by faculty of Illinois Wesleyan, Western Illinois and Southern Illinois Universities, as well as Illinois Symphony Orchestra members.
The camp for the study of strings, winds, harp and piano is open to high school and junior high school students and consists of intensive chamber music training that includes daily coaching, rehearsals, master classes, elective studies, and performances by students and faculty.
