International Programming Coordinator and Admissions

This administrative support position will serve as a first line of contact for the International Office and International Admissions. They will monitor and process the submission of application materials, admissions decisions, and financial aid decisions. This individual will communicate with current and prospective students and answer questions, with support from the International Admissions/International Student Advisor (ISSA). Responsibilities:

  • Manage communications and documents related to the international admissions office; process and upload materials to Slate, ensuring they meet the policies established by the international admissions team; serve as manager of international email accounts and respond to all correspondence via email and phone; oversee the data entry of admissions and financial aid decisions; support additional administrative tasks related to international admissions, orientation and current student operations as assigned; meeting attendance with admissions staff
  • Provide administrative support for the International Office; support maintenance of Terra Dotta (study abroad system) for IWU’s over 700 study abroad options; administer the IWU Travel Registry to keep track of IWU’s individual and group travel; register IWU students, faculty and staff with US Dept. of State STEP; assist with budgetary support of the IWU Barcelona/London programs, as well as communication and marketing of these programs
  • Budgets and billing; manage International Office budgetary needs, maintaining organized and accurate records; assist in processing reimbursements, stipends and vendor payments; other duties as assigned by the Director of the International Office

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • One year related experience; proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with Google Suite,  MS Access and design programs like Canva preferred
  • Knowledge of Terra Dotta, Slate and data management systems preferred
  • US citizenship or legal permanent residency; required for ability to serve backup to DSO/ARO
