Director of Tennis, Head Women’s Tennis Coach

Illinois Wesleyan University, a NCAA Division III institution and member of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin, invites applications for the position of full-time Director of Tennis, Head Women’s Tennis Coach and Faculty member in the Kinesiology, Sport & Wellness (KSW) Department. 

 

We are seeking a Director of Tennis/Head Women’s Coach that is committed to excellence in academics, athletics, and service while focusing on developing the whole person.  Preference will be given to those candidates that also have a proven track record or skills necessary to recruit top student-athletes that will be a great fit for the institution.  Responsible for recruiting, retaining and graduating student-athletes, monitoring student athlete’s academic progress, off-season programs, assisting with public and media relations efforts, coordinating team community service and performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Teaching load will be dependent upon other duties assigned.  Successful candidate will adhere to all rules of the CCIW, NCAA, & IWU and will fulfill the requirements and expectations of the Illinois Wesleyan University athletic department. 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s preferred
  • Minimum of five years experience. Previous coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
