Director of Alumni Engagement

The University’s Office for Advancement/Alumni Engagement invites applications for the full-time, on-campus position of Director of Alumni Engagement.  This position leads the strategic execution of a comprehensive alumni engagement program to enhance and strengthen relationships with alumni and friends. This is a full time, on-campus position. Generous benefits include health, retirement, considerable time off and access to multiple tuition programs for employees and dependents.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Strategic Alumni Engagement Program; develop, implement, execute, and measure an alumni engagement plan, which includes alumni events.
  • Cultivate, Solicit, and Steward Alumni and Volunteers; coordinate and support regional alumni chapters and affinity groups; manage a portfolio of key alumni donors and prospects; identify opportunities to engage alumni; partner with Director of Annual Giving and Director of Stewardship to promote engagement and philanthropy in annual appeals and stewardship programs 
  • Oversee Alumni Engagement Operations; manage the alumni engagement budget; track and evaluate the success of efforts through metrics; hire, train and supervise staff; leverage potential of database to ensure donor relations documents and touchpoints are submitted

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in advancement/engagement
  • Excellent communication skills--oral, written, and listening.
  • Strong people and relationship-building skills with constituents from a variety of backgrounds and a range of generations.  
  • Local and national travel up to 20% of the work schedule; average of 3-5 overnight trips a year
  • Valid US driver's license.

Salary $58,000-$63,000, based on experience.
