Assistant Football Coach

Illinois Wesleyan University, a NCAA Division III institution and member of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin, invites applications for a full-time, 10-month position of Assistant Football Coach (Defensive Secondary or Linebackers). Additional duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director may also include serving as the Assistant Football Recruiting Coordinator, Strength and Conditioning and/or Student-Athlete Mentor/Advisor. A Bachelor’s degree is required, Master's degree is preferred and 2-4 years experience coaching at the collegiate level. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: analyze performance and instruct student-athletes in defensive game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition; observe players individually or in groups and demonstrate defensive secondary techniques; assist in all aspects of the football recruiting process; advising for academically at-risk student-athletes. The successful candidate will have excellent skills in using technology to enhance football program operations and recruiting as well as a commitment to understanding and adhering to NCAA/CCIW Rules.
