Administrative Specialist IV
Reporting to the Vice President of Student Affairs, this position supports student-centered
strategic initiatives that impact student retention, student engagement, campus community
building, student accountability, diversity and inclusion and division-wide professional
staff support. This is a full time, on-campus position. Generous benefits include health, retirement

- Retention-centered administrative support: provides outstanding customer service to
students, families, faculty and staff seeking support for concerns impacting their
IWU experience. Provides notifications to faculty/staff/appropriate offices of concerns
impacting attendance, performance or other engagement. Manages record-keeping for
withdrawals, leaves of absence, and early warning case management. Manages Guardian
software as a trained superuser in providing support, training, coordination for all
users and maintenance of updates and records.
- Student conduct/emergency support: reviews security and ORL incident reports. Schedules
student meetings with appropriate staff. Maintains federally mandated records regarding
sex offenders, crime statistics, Clery reporting support; schedules Emergency Response
Team meetings. Manages COVID-19 surveillance testing reminders, notification, and
- Administrative support for three Student Affairs executives (3 staff).
- Office management and supervision of 3-4 student employees; maintain office expenditures
and reconciliation of budget information
- Event planning as needed for Vice President of Student Affairs (VPSA) and Division
of Student Affairs
- Associate’s degree or vocational/technical degree required
- Minimum of five years’ administrative support experience
