Administrative Specialist III - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

This position provides administrative support to the Vice President and Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). Responsible for day-to-day operations and administrative support activities, managing independent projects, establishing effective project reporting and tracking systems, acting as the primary point of contact for both internal and external constituencies, assisting the VP-DEI in communicating with constituents, and handling multiple incoming concerns as they arise with an equity-lens. The position requires frequent contact with community partners, and University faculty, staff, and students. Maintains and ensures a confidential environment at all times. Responsibilities:

  • Administrative support of Vice President of DEI and reporting division; pepares and/or manages communications on behalf of the VP including calendaring, travel, reports, presentations, written communications;; assist with organizing DEI strategic plan and monitoring progress; prepare materials and supplies for offices within division; manage expense reimbursement process and reporting of area budgets
  • DEI project coordination and data management; clerical and logistical support of University DEI projects; develop and maintain project reporting system; ensure projects are completed on time and within budget; tracking of DEI data and results for VP analysis; collaborate with institutional stakeholders to request data necessary to inform DEI strategic plan

 

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma/GED is required, associate degree preferred
  • Three years related office experience; proficiency with Google Suite, creating presentations, processing/reconciling financial
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
