Administrative Specialist III
Center for Natural Sciences
This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Center for Natural
Sciences (CNS), six academic departments. Assist with significant recurring projects,
such as the Premedical/Predental application process and Institutional Animal Care
and Use Committee (IACUC). This is a full time, on-campus position. Generous benefits include health, retirement,

- Coordination of clerical and organizational needs of CNS; orients new CNS faculty and staff to IWU forms and office procedures; supervises student
employees; coordinates with other administrative specialist in CNS to make sure all
building/clerical needs are being met
- Faculty support; critically edits and formats documents including recommendation letters, reports,
scientific documents and exams; maintains and updates departmental web pages and serve
as key coordinator for Center of Natural Science building
- Departmental and division budgets; track and reconcile budgets with credit card transactions; codes bills; process reimbursements
and transfer of funds, maintains budget tracking spreadsheet
- Support for Premedical/Predental Advisory Committee; maintain and organize Moodle portal, collect and organizes confidential documents
from applicants and recommenders; critically reads and edits the final, composite
letters; schedule meeting, compose minutes, generates correspondence, and maintain/update
IACUC website; collects and reviews IACUC protocols, and maintains all records as
required for compliance with USDA inspections
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; combination of education and experience may substitute
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
