Visiting Assistant Professor of Costume Design

The School of Theatre Arts at Illinois Wesleyan University invites applications for a one year visitor appointment at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates should possess an MFA and have experience teaching courses in costume design and instructing shop situations at the undergraduate level. This position combines both teaching and production responsibilities.  Responsibilities include teaching stage makeup, costume construction and costume history and designing or supervising student designers for our Mainstage or Laboratory season and supervision of undergraduate students enrolled in Theatre Laboratory. Nine month appointment at a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Effective date August 15, 2019. Illinois Wesleyan is an EOE and invites applications from women and minorities.
