Film Production Intern, Rough & Tumble Films (producer Brian Udovich. IWU class of 1998)

Los Angeles CA, Summer 2012 (and Fall ‘12 remotely from campus)

  • Appraised and analyzed screenplays and provided constructive criticism and notes
  • Conducted research to aid in the development of a home invasion feature film
  • Extracted data relating to major film festivals and compiled data into reports utilizing infographics
  • Collected data pertaining to various distribution channels and assessed findings
  • Evaluated various methods of financing independent feature films
  • Performed general office duties, such as answering phones, greeting guests, general office maintenance, etc.

Through Hart Career Center Director Warren Kistner, Paturi was introduced to Brian Udovich ’98, co-owner of Rough and Tumble Films.

“It just so happened Brian was looking for interns when I contacted him, we had an interview on the spot, he decided to take a chance on me and I was in L.A. two weeks later,” said Paturi.

While interning, Paturi worked as a production assistant for the Udovich-produced film We Gotta Get Out of This Place, which premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival and won the Audience Award at the American Film Institute Fest.
