Business World Meets Liberal Arts

We see Illinois Wesleyan as a unique place: studying professional programs in a liberal arts setting. This mix gives our students a foundation in technical skills, theory and practice, while preparing them to devise new solutions to problems, think critically and communicate clearly and effectively.

Experience. Question. Lead.

Motivated by our motto Do Well, Do Good, the School of Business and Economics at IWU produces thoughtful graduates who are prepared to impact the global economy. We accomplish this through an experiential and rigorous curriculum delivered by a professionally and academically engaged faculty. These faculty work closely with students providing them the technical knowledge necessary to succeed in their careers and critical thinking skills which are integral in prospering throughout their lives. Embedded within a well-rounded, liberal-arts education, we develop leaders who excel in a diverse, ever-changing world.

We Aspire To...

  • Make a meaningful impact on our students
    • We cherish our opportunity to work closely with our students exposing them to novel idea and new ways of thinking. We strive to make a significant impact on how our students engage with the world.
  • Be the leading entrepreneurial liberal arts university
    • To be entrepreneurial means applying creativity, initiative, and critical thinking to solve problems, innovate, and create value. Being entrepreneurial is about shaping your experience, rather than just consuming it, by exploring, creating, and leading.
  • Develop leaders in business & the community
    •  We believe business education embedded within a liberal arts environment provides the ideal set of experiences and skills to be a leader. We strive for our students to lead in the business world, lead within their organization, and lead in their community.
  • Create Titans!
    • Titans live by the motto Do Well, Do Good. We strive to promote our values so that our students live a fulfilling life. We share our effort and expertise so that our students not only do well professionally but are distinctive.
