Council for IWU Women Scholarship
Overview
The Scholarship seeks women who have contributed to the campus and community rather than financial information or GPA. Most importantly, the scholarship and application process focuses on values, passions, and relationships.
The Scholarship considers:
- Civic activities
- Volunteer services
- Leadership positions
- Values obtained from experiences outside the classroom
It seeks those with personal and professional passion, communication skills, empowerment, leadership, and the influence and change that an individual brings upon others.
Details
- All IWU women-identified students are eligible to apply
- Four $1,000 scholarships are awarded (one per class)
- Students are limited to one CFW Scholarship during tenure at IWU; past winners are not eligible
- Awardees will be notified by email prior to the Council for Women Virtual Dialogue
- Awardees must be present at the in-person Council for Women Summit
2024 Scholarship Details
The application form is open for the 2024 year. Please submit your application by 11:59pm on Sunday, January 28, 2024. Past winners are not eligible to apply for this scholarship again. Please contact Kaylee Mathison ( kkurtz@iwu.edu ) with any questions about the application process or the summit, and she will direct the questions to the Scholarship Chair.
Awardees will be notified by email during the week of February 19, 2024. Winners must be present at the Council for IWU Women Summit (March 1-2, 2024) during the scholarship award ceremony, or have received approval to not be in attendance by the Scholarship Chair.
