Colin Barr joined other members of the IWU chapter of Global Medical Brigades on their recent trip to the Republic of Honduras in Central America.
During the trip he helped many rural villagers by preparing local anesthetic, taking patients' vital signs, obtaining histories and current symptoms, and providing preventive education. Read more about his trip to Honduras.
Colin also participated in the Transcultural Healthcare in Hawaii May Term travel course.
Even though Wesleyan is small, it's very diverse, and I believe understanding different people who come from varied backgrounds will benefit me in caring for patients.
