Wind Ensemble to Perform “The World United”

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. –– In collaboration with the International Office, the Illinois Wesleyan School of Music’s Wind Ensemble will perform a concert titled "The World United" on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Presser Hall’s Westbrook Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public. 

The World United concert will feature music from different parts of the world. Illinois Wesleyan international students will also share their experiences and stories about their countries and cultures. 

The Wind Ensemble is an elite auditioned group of students that specializes in advanced contemporary wind band repertoire. The ensemble provides an environment for musical development by helping students learn to play expressively and passionately. It is directed by Visiting Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Large Instrumental Ensembles Lev Ivanov.
