School of Music to Present Fall Choral Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. –– The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music will perform its Fall Choral Concert on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church located at 502 E. Front St. in Bloomington. This event is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature the Collegiate Choir and the University Choir. The Collegiate Choir performs an array of sacred and secular choir music from the past six centuries, with students selected by audition. The University Choir is open to all students and performs sacred and secular music from a variety of styles and historical periods. Both ensembles are directed by Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities J. Scott Ferguson.

The concert will feature classic compositions by Finzi, Wolf, Whitacre, Jackson, Poulenc, Brahms, Augustinas, Runestad, and others.
