Symphonic Winds to Perform

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Illinois Wesleyan University’s Symphonic Winds will present a concert on Thursday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Presser Hall’s Westbrook Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

Conducted by Adjunct Instructor in the School of Music Jason Gardner, the Symphonic Winds will perform works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Cécile Chaminade, Ron Nelson, Vincent Persichetti and Alfred Reed.

Comprised of approximately 50 students, the Symphonic Winds concert wind ensemble includes both music and non-music majors. The group performs a variety of sophisticated and challenging concert band repertoire in several concerts throughout the year, both on campus and in the Bloomington-Normal area.
