Halloween Jazz Concert and Costume Contest

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. —The Illinois Wesleyan Jazz Ensemble will present their the annual Halloween Jazz Concert and Costume Contest on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Auditorium. This concert is free and open to the public.

Adjunct Instructor Glenn Wilson will lead the ensemble in music from Thad Jones, Nat Adderley, Gordon Goodwin, Duke Ellington and other notable composers. Adjunct Instructors Robert Sears (trumpet) and Michael Minarcek (percussion) will also join the performance.

Members of the ensemble will be dressed in costume, and audience members are encouraged to participate in the costume contest at intermission. Prizes will be awarded to the best costumes for both individual and group entries.
