Zombieland
Titan Film Series to Present Zombieland

January 18, 2010

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan Office of Student Activities will show the film Zombieland on Friday, Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the Hansen Student Center (300 Beecher St., Bloomington). The show is free and open to the public.

A virus, similar to the one that causes mad cow disease, diminishes the Earth’s population in the horror comedy Zombieland. One of the few remaining humans, the fearless Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), teams up with his complete opposite, the somewhat phobic Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) in an attempt to survive. Each of the men are on separate quests, Columbus to find his family and Tallahassee to find the world’s last twinkie. Along the way, the men join forces with Wichita (Emma Stone) and her younger sister Little Rock (Abigail Breslin). Through a series of adventures including meeting Bill Murray, who plays himself, in Hollywood and fighting off zombies in an amusement park, the group must determine which is worse: relying on each other, or succumbing to the zombies.

The Columbia Pictures film is rated R for horror violence, gore and language. For more information on the film visit www.zombieland.com or the Office of Student Activities Web site, www.iwu.edu/student-activities/.
