Students Inducted into Sociology Honorary Society at IWU

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- Fourteen Illinois Wesleyan University students have been inducted into Alpha Kappa Delta, the international sociology honorary society. These students were selected based on their scholarship and serious interest in sociology.

The purpose of Alpha Kappa Delta is to promote human welfare through group fellowship, using the application of scientific knowledge to resolve social problems.

Students inducted include:

  • Jodie Daquilanea of Woodridge, Ill., a senior majoring in sociology.
  • Elizabeth Jaroscak of Chicago, Ill., a junior majoring in sociology.
  • Jessica Lothman of Springfield, Ill., a junior majoring in sociology.
  • Casey McCarthy of Glen Ellyn, Ill., a junior majoring in sociology and Hispanic Studies.
  • Emily McCracken of Greenville, Ill., a junior majoring in sociology.
  • Elizabeth Pinkus of Thornton, Ill., a junior majoring in business administration and sociology.
  • Jill Randa of Burr Ridge, Ill., a senior majoring in sociology.
  • Mary Roth of Glasford, Ill., a junior majoring in sociology.
  • Kelsey Sasveld of Naperville, Ill., a junior majoring in sociology.
  • Lindsay Sicks of Orland Park, Ill., a junior majoring in biology and sociology.
  • Lynsey Sloan of Lombard, Ill., a junior majoring in sociology.
  • Megan Springer of South Holland, Ill., a sophomore majoring in sociology.
  • Erin Triplett of Saint Charles, Ill., a junior majoring in Hispanic Studies and sociology.
  • Ashley Venneman of Batavia, Ill., a senior majoring in sociology.
