Music Theatre Voice

Jeff Miller is returning to the Illinois Wesleyan University Music Theatre program in fall 2022 to teach voice lessons. After a short career singing opera (Des Moines Metro Opera, The Ohio Light Opera, and Union Avenue Opera), Jeff was the first voice teacher in the IWU School of Theatre Arts in 2002, where he taught voice to nearly every music theatre major between the years of 2002-2007. Jeff also taught voice in the School of Music’s voice department in 2008.

Jeff earned his MM in Opera and Musical Theater from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale ('02) where he studied voice with the late and great Richard Best. Since 2008, Jeff has been teaching privately as well as raising a family and pursuing other opportunities in writing and ministry and has dozens of former students performing all over the world. Jeff is excited to be back this fall!
