The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is home to student organizations whose purpose is tied to the mission of this office. These student organizations are part of an umbrella organization called the Council of Inclusion and Awareness.

The Council of Inclusion & Awareness (CIA) is a multicultural programming and leadership development council composed of various recognized, university student organizations. The council welcomes and supports organizations whose missions includes the advancement of groups that have been and continue to be underrepresented in higher education. The Council also strives to include a multicultural and cross cultural educational component in their programming.
The mission of the CIA is to develop the leadership skills and talents of its student members. It is the goal of CIA member organizations to represent and promote diversity as they bring the Illinois Wesleyan community together through educational and inclusive programming.
