IWSO to Present Concert

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. –– The Illinois Wesleyan University Symphony Orchestra (IWSO) will perform their second concert of the year on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church in Bloomington. This event is free and open to the public. 

This concert will feature a variety of music, including three pieces by female composers. It will also feature Associate Professor of Music Vadim Mazo on the violin. 

The Illinois Wesleyan Symphony Orchestra is directed by Visiting Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Large Instrumental Ensembles Lev Ivanov. The ensemble performs pieces from all musical periods. They have collaborated with renowned musicians such as Dawn Upshaw, Armando Ghitalla, Awadagin Pratt, Laszlo Varga, Peter Schickele and others.
