IWU Music Students to Perform Original Works

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Two Illinois Wesleyan University music students will present their original compositions during a concert Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. at Westbrook Auditorium in Presser Hall (1210 N. Park St., Bloomington). The event is free and open to the public.

Echoes a choral composition by music composition major Alexa Letourneau '20, was written as a way to process her feelings in the aftermath of the Las Vegas mass shooting in 2017, which left 58 people dead and 851 injured. Her piece is meant to provide solace for anyone impacted by the tragedy. It features a poem by John Whitfield '20, the president of Lyrical Graffiti.
