The Business Advisor position is a 14-month part time position that is funded by the SBA CARES Act. The person selected for the position will be expected to consult and support small business needs caused by COVID-19 pandemic within the rural sectors of McLean County including the 20 villages of Anchor, Arrowsmith, Bellflower, Carlock, Chenoa, Colfax, Cooksville, Danvers, Downs, Ellsworth, El Paso, Gridley, Heyworth, Hudson, Leroy, Lexington, McLean, Saybrook, Stanford, and Towanda.
This position reports to the Director of the SBDC and works closely with the Assistant Director to help ensure the success of the Center's consulting services. The emphasis of the position will be to provide outreach services for small business needs including continuity of operations, workplace health and safety protection, marketing and website integration, financial statement analysis, and cybersecurity protection. The position will also provide consultation for entrepreneurs interested in starting-up new businesses within the rural sector.
