Annual Giving Officer

The Annual Giving Officer plays a key role in advancing the University's annual giving strategy by overseeing key programs and initiatives that build a culture of philanthropy and strengthen the donor pipeline. This position manages the day-to-day operations of the Engagement Center, Giving Circles, and class- and parent-based fundraising efforts. The Annual Giving Officer supports the Director of Annual Giving through coordination of multi-channel campaigns and events, data tracking and reporting, and process documentation. This role requires strong project management, collaboration, coaching skills to develop student and volunteer fundraisers, and the ability to solicit unrestricted gifts that contribute to the overall fundraising and stewardship goals.   This is a full time, 12 month, on-campus position. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee key annual giving initiatives and programs that foster a culture of philanthropy and support donor pipeline development through collaboration, coaching, and relationship management; lead all activities associated with the Engagement Center through management, training, and coaching of student callers to support annual giving goals; lead and execute Giving Circle administration though securing leaders, soliciting and stewarding gifts; provide direction for the Senior Class Campaign as it relates to fundraising activities and project management; engage parents in strategic, coordinated development strategy and serve as staff liaison for parent contribution committee; coordinate and execute Reunion Giving to meet class giving goals by working with alumni volunteers and the alumni engagement team; solicit unrestricted gifts that contribute to the Annual Giving team achieving fundraising goals.
  • Support Director of Annual Giving in the execution of giving programs, appeals, and events by providing logistical and administrative support; coordinate logistics for multi-channel campaigns and events; assist in compiling reports for appeal and event results; support Director and department as a whole with various initiatives and events

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s required
  • Minimum of three years related experience; preference for professional experience in higher education or non-profit 
  • Approximately 10% local and national travel. Weekend and evening hours, as needed

Salary $45k-$55k, based on experience
