2023-24 Assistant Professor Physics
The Physics Department of Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) seeks to fill a tenure-track
Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2023. The department prides itself
on quality teaching and a strong emphasis on collaborative research between faculty
and students.
We seek a candidate who has done some high quality experimental work, has an enthusiasm
for undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts environment and a genuine commitment
to effective instruction in both lecture and laboratory settings. The successful candidate
will maintain an active and vibrant experimental research program in pure or applied
physics-related areas, which can draw students, external funding and visibility to
the department.
