The Department of Business Administration at Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) invites applications for a new tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor. The department seeks a faculty member who can teach courses in entrepreneurship and data analytics as well as courses such as introductory marketing, consumer behavior, marketing analytics, and social media marketing. The normal teaching load is three courses per semester.
IWU is a small, private liberal arts institution that integrates programs of professional study, such as business, accounting, finance, nursing, and professional degrees in the arts. Applicants must be comfortable integrating writing into their classes, and excellence in undergraduate instruction should be demonstrated. IWU is fully invested in the teacher-scholar model. Application materials should substantively address the candidate’s experience and commitment to advancing a diverse and inclusive learning environment and provide evidence of ways they support social, cultural, and learning differences to ensure reaching out to all students in their classrooms.
Applicants are expected to have earned a doctorate in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or a closely related field. ABDs within one year of completion or candidates who have made substantial progress toward earning a doctorate may apply.
