Scholarships & Grants

Questions?

To be considered for any scholarship or grant, all you have to do is fill out the admission application and submit all requested materials.

We know the financial aid process can be quite confusing. At IWU we have attempted to simplify the process as much as possible.

We have a number of benefactors who have generously endowed scholarships for our students, and we do not ask that you apply separately for any of these scholarships.

Scholarships and Grants

Your application for admission and transcripts will put you in consideration for our primary scholarship for our College of Liberal Arts, and School of Nursing:

  • IWU Alumni Scholarship

While many factors are considered in the application process, your academic profile is the primary factor for this scholarship, which typically ranges from $15,000 to $34,000.

College of Fine Arts Scholarships

If you are majoring in the College of Fine Arts (Theatre, Music, or Art), we will also use your audition, portfolio review or interview to award the:

  • IWU Alumni Talent Scholarship

With a few rare exceptions, these scholarships range from $15,000 to $35,000. You will not receive both an Alumni Scholarship and a IWU Alumni Talent Scholarship.  If you qualify for both, your Alumni Talent Scholarship will reflect the enhanced scholarship.

National Qualifier Scholarships

Besides these larger scholarships,we offer an additional $4,000 scholarship to:

  • National Merit Scholars
  • National Achievement Scholars

Three National Merit Scholars could qualify for as much as $40,000 a year in scholarships from IWU.
