The Lincoln museum is dedicated to the life of the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, an Illinois native. At the museum, you can experience many different exhibits and shows about President Lincoln's life and presidency.
Visit the home of Abraham Lincoln! This home is recognized as a part of the US National Park Service. Here you can take a guided tour of the house, which is now a museum, explore the historic surrounding neighborhood, view a short film, and more.
The Lincoln Monument in Oak Ridge, Cemetery is located at the burial site of Abraham Lincoln.
Funk's Grove, IL
The nature center, located just outside Bloomington-Normal, is a great place to view wild animals, take a walk on trails or through gardens, have a picnic and more!
One of the original US highways, Route 66, established in 1926, is one of the most famous roads in America. Nicknamed "the Mother Road," it originally ran from Chicago, Illinois to Los Angeles, California, covering 2,447 miles (3940 km). While it has been removed from the highway system, many parts of Route 66 are still able to be traveled, and many people make the entire journey. Part of the road runs through Bloomington-Normal.
