We at Illinois Wesleyan University believe in a safe campus environment for all, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Part of our mission is to educate the cisgender and heterosexual community about the lives and langauge of our LGBTQIA family on campus.

Please contact Sharla Brown-Ajayi  at the Office of Diversity and Inclusion if you, your residence hall, RSO, team, class, or group of friends would like to schedule a SafeZone training with a member of our team at no cost to you or your organization.

The training modules are adapted for those who identify as beginner, intermediate, or expert in their knowledge of the LGBTQIA community. Trainings typically take 2 hours but can be changed to suit the learning or scheduling needs of any group.
