Calculus Placement

Placement into MATH 177 (Calculus 2) or 278 (Calculus 3) is allowed for those transferring AP/IB or college/university credit.  Please consult the Chair of the Math Department to determine which course you should take.

General guidelines for using AP test scores are:

  • Score of 4-5 on the AP Calculus AB test: enroll in Calculus 1 or 2
  • Score of 4-5 on the AP Caclulus BC test: enroll in Calculus 1, 2, or 3
