December 2007 graduates: Find out how to get personalized announcements.
Congratulations on the upcoming completion of your degree requirements for graduation
from Illinois Wesleyan. As you may know, in 2004 we formally instituted a December
graduation date in addition to spring. Therefore your transcript, diploma and all
official records will indicate December 31, 2007 as your graduation date, assuming
the successful completion of your final exams.
Students who graduate at mid-year are invited to process with their classmates during
the spring Commencement ceremony. However, in order to also mark this important mid-year
milestone, I invite you to a dinner for all December graduates on THURSDAY, DECEMBER
13, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. in the Turfler Room of Memorial Center. You are encouraged to
invite a favorite faculty or staff member to accompany you to the dinner as your guest.
Brian Hatcher, the McFee Endowed Professor of Religion, will offer brief comments
PLEASE RESPOND to firstname.lastname@example.org to indicate if you will attend the dinner on December 13 and provide the name of
your guest. If you have dietary restrictions please let us know at that time. Also
please indicate if you would like to receive your diploma by mail in January or if
you will participate in the May 4, 2008 Commencement ceremony and receive it then.
You will soon receive the email to all seniors regarding the May ceremony and placing
orders for your cap and gown in January.
I look forward to seeing you at these events which celebrate your graduation from
