We are pleased to provide you with information about the various activities that celebrate
your upcoming graduation from Illinois Wesleyan. Please read carefully, since these
events are an important part of your graduation. Most information and updates will
also be posted on the Commencement website

***SENIOR CLASS DINNER---MAY 2
You have received an invitation to a dinner in honor of your graduation on Wednesday,
May 2nd at 5:30 pm in the Young Main Lounge of the Memorial Center. This event is
a wonderful opportunity for you to reminisce with classmates as you are welcomed into
the IWU Alumni Association. If you haven’t signed up, it’s not too late. Deadline
is Friday, April 27 at 4:00 p.m. Please RSVP

you do not bring guests.
***COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION---FOR MAY 6 CEREMONY
All information regarding Commencement is posted on the IWU website at
. You will receive an additional email with more specifics about the Commencement
Ceremony itself on or about May 3rd, and it will also be posted on the website.
Commencement is held outdoors even in light rain or cool temperatures, so you should
prepare and dress accordingly. A decision will be made on May 4th by 12:00 p.m. as
to the venue of this year’s Commencement and will be posted on the website. If we
relocate to the Shirk Center because of a severe weather forecast, the ceremony will
take place in the Activity Center, and there will be ample seating for all of your
