Graduating Student Survey

We are pleased to provide you with information about the various activities that celebrate your upcoming graduation from Illinois Wesleyan. Please read carefully, since these events are an important part of your graduation. Most information and updates will also be posted on the Commencement website

You have received the invitation to a formal dinner in honor of your graduation on Wednesday, May 3rd at 6 pm in the Young Main Lounge of Memorial Center. This event is a wonderful opportunity for you to reminisce with classmates as you are welcomed into the IWU Alumni Association, which will provide an Alumni T-Shirt to all attendees.

You and your family recently received a Commencement communication which provided information and which was also posted on the IWU website at   You will receive an additional email with more specifics about the Commencement Ceremony itself on or about May 3rd, and it will also be posted on the website.

PLEASE NOTE:  Commencement is held outdoors even in light rain or cool temperatures, so you should prepare and dress accordingly. A decision will be made on Friday, May 5 by 9 a.m. (originally stated May 3) as to the venue of this year’s Commencement. If we relocate to the Shirk Center because of a severe weather forecast, the ceremony will take place in the Activity Center and there will be ample seating for all of your guests. Additional information regarding other indoor seating venues and the live Webcast (rain or shine) is provided in the March Commencement mailing and on the website.
